SURE-P Spent 5 Billion in Niger State in 2013

The Director-General of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Program (SURE-P), Alhaji Hassan Nuhu, yesterday in Minna said that N5 billion was spent in Niger State in 2013.
He said the money was used to purchase buses, cars and tricycles to boost the transport sector of Niger State, thereby also engaging about 4000 youths with some meaningful employment. Also the Schools of Agriculture at Tegina, Kuta and Makowa were renovated so as to facilitate the training of more youths on farming.
He added that another N5 billion will be spent this year too, so as to consolidate and pursue the goals of SURE-P in Niger State.
This is a good development. We pray that the funds will keep being judiciously used for the project!
God bless the SURE-P! God bless Nigeria!
